He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Brisar and Mildred Brisar (Widmeier); his grandson Connor Brisar; and his sister Eileen Sladek. He is survived by: his wife Barbara A. Brisar (Gilbert); his children, Jon David Brisar (Ivey), Chris Brisar (Amy) and Carolyn Chavez (Joe); and his grandchildren, Brendan, Ronan, Keira, Katalena and Kade.
