He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth E. Swartz and Esther M. Swartz (Waite); and his sister Susan C. Bair. He is survived by: his wife Pearl E. Sweeley; his children, Penny E. Smith of Spring Mills, Pamela E. Swartz (Matt) of Centre Hall, Joyce A. Neese (Richard) of Millheim, David E. Swartz, Jr. of Rebersburg and Dale E. Swartz (Marni) of Rebersburg; his brothers, Richard D. Swartz (Gladys) of Woodward, James E. Swartz (Rose) of Rebersburg and Paul L. Swartz (Deborah) of Woodward; and his grandchildren, Jessica (John), Rebecca (Matt), Christopher (Amber), Misty (Chris), April and Aiyana.
