He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy R. Brooks and Alice M. "Marshall" Brooks; his wife Mona J. Mowery; his son William P. Brooks; and his siblings, Paul, Kenneth, Bill, Lewis, Philip Brooks, Martha Weaver, Connie Tressler and Betty Hartley.
He is survived by: his children, Lori Brooks Bierly of State College, Brenda L. Brooks (Fred) of Spring Mills and Rickey B. Brooks (Tammy) of Millheim; and his grandchildren, Jon D. Brooks (Emily) of New Jersey, Mark A. Brooks (Amy) of Howard and Audrey C. Kerstetter of Spring Mills. He is also survived by three great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Steven R. Neff Funeral Home (120 W Main St, Millheim, PA 16854-0437). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Contributions in memory of Basil may be given to the Miles Township Fire Company in Rebersburg.
