He was predeceased by: his parent Harry F.; and his stepmother Ruth Schaeffer. He is survived by: his parent Mildred Schaeffer (Goshow); his sons, Thomas R. Schaeffer, Jr. of Reading, PA and David J. Schaeffer of Reading, PA; and his brother Harry D. Schaeffer. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Tom's memory to the Amity Twp.
