It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roland G. Phelps Sr. of Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on September 10, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Burton Sr. and Callie Phelps (Osborne); and his siblings, Mendella Fains, Laureen Phelps and Edward Phelps.

He is survived by: his wife Mary J. Phelps (Tennant); his children, Valerie Robertson of Reading, PA, Roland G. Phelps, Jr. of Reading, PA, Denise Phelps of Reading, PA., Shannon Tennant of Reading, PA. and Michael Tennant of Reading, PA.; and his brother Robert Phelps of Reading, PA.
