He was predeceased by: his sister Joan; and his brother-in-law Myron Moskowitz of Shamokin, PA.. He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his sons, David Kauffman (Rochelle Kauffman Plesset) of Basking Ridge, N. J. and Bob; his children-in-law, Jody Kauffman and Robert Plesset; and his granddaughters, Melanie Kauffman, Erica Kauffman, Emilie Plesset, Jacqueline Plesset and Jennifer Kauffman.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Kesher Zion Synagogue or the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (ushmm.org).
