He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth L. Ramsey, (Doll) and George C. Ramsey, Sr.; his daughter DeeDee Owens; and his brothers, Gene Ramsey and George C. Ramsey, Jr. (Nancy Messersmith).

He is survived by: his children, Donna (Craig Beaver) of Rehobeth Beach, DE, Denise (David Martin) of Mt. Penn, Richard L. Ramsey Jr. (Rebekah) of Locust Grove, VA and Brad M. Ramsey of Mt. Penn; and his sister Cheryl Shucker of Blandon. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
