It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard R. Gillette (Reading, Pennsylvania), who passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Richard departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Richard. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Gillette and Eleanor J. Gillette (Reeves); and his daughter Lisa A. McConaghy. He is survived by: his wife Gretchen E. Gillette (Heier) of Cumru Township; his daughters, Loris J. Maurer of Arizona and Rebecca Jeanne Dark of Maryland; and his stepdaughters, Lisa A. McCloskey of Warminster, PA and Sandra Jill Vannote (David Orwig) of Maryland. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
