In the echoes of fond remembrance, may a sense of peace be found, knowing that the memories held dear will continue to shape and inspire his loved ones, keeping Luis' spirit alive in the hearts and actions of family and friends alike. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness shown to others and the joy found in the ordinary moments of life.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Alberto Torres and Rosa Maria Nieves; his wife Sulma'Stephanie'Cruz; and his children, Daniel Ortiz, Pedro Ortiz, Luis Alberto Torres Jr., Deborah Torres and Damaris Torres. He was also cherished by 22 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, one great-grandson due June 2025, countless nieces, nephews, and spiritual children.
Viewing was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Saint John Missionary Baptist Church (436 S 7th St, Reading, PA 19602). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. John's Missionary Baptist Church (436 S 7th St, Reading, PA 19602). A reception was held on Wednesday, April 2nd 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at the St. John Missionary Baptist Church (436 S 7th St, Reading, PA 19602).
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Luis' honor to The Table Ministry in Philadelphia.
