He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose'Maria Plazas and Laura Maria Escobar of Plazas; and his siblings, María Esperanza Plazas of Acosta and Edelmira Plazas of Perez. He is survived by: his children, Roger Gabriel Plazas (Anna Carolina Sanchez) of Wyomissing, Laura Milena Plazas of Reading and Gerslyn Silva of Standford, Connecticut; his siblings, Aura Ligia Plazas of Choconta, Rosalba Ramirez (Enrique Ramirez) of Reading, Clara Inez Plazas of Sabedra, Maria Nelsi Plazas Escobar of Bogata and Jorge Humberto Plazas Escobar (Paulina Plazas) of Queens; and his grandchildren, Andrew Nathan Plazas, Emely Plazas, Sergio R. Plazas, Gabriel A. Plazas, Sunny Plazas and Vinka Luana Gaite.
