With heavy hearts, we announce the death of José L. Irizarry of Reading, Pennsylvania, who passed away on July 31, 2023 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Maximino Irizarry and Cruz Vargas; and his siblings, Maximino Irizarry, Idalina Irizarry and Ramona Irizarry.

He is survived by: his wife Eloina (Alicea); his children, Ramon L. Irizarry, Lesvia Irizarry, Edwin Irizarry, Maria M. Rodriguez, Migdalia Irizarry, Aracelys Irizarry and Madeline Mares; and his siblings, Rosa Irizarry and Elias Irizarry. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
