Davis and Derrick R. Thompson; his children, James Thompson III, Stephen Thompson, Rotanda Davis and Lillian Thompson; his grandchildren, Kito Thompson, Deshawn Thompson, Nazir Thompson, Cheryl Thompson-Morton, Kimora Davis and Isaiah Jensen; his nephews, Clifford Gates and Charles Davis; and his niece Denise Gates.
