He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Burkhart Sr. and Fern Burkhart (Hannahoe); and his sisters, Constance Louise Burkhart and Dorothy Smith (Burkhart). He is survived by: his sisters, Patricia Maurer (Ralph) and Muriel (Burkhart); and his nieces and nephews, Scott Maurer (Nancy), Tracey Levering (Maurer), Christina (Noah Seyfert), DeVaughn Resczenski (Elizabeth) and Karen (Clarence Long Jr.).
A graveside service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Schwarzwald Cemetery (4501 Oley Turnpike Rd, Reading, PA 19606).
