He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry E. Shalter and Tillie Shalter (Pinkasavage); and his siblings, Karen Shalter, Edward Shalter and Mary Shalter-Meshinski.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Shalter (Graczyk); his son Scott A. Shalter; his granddaughters, Katie-Ann O'Reilly (Patrick) and Jessica Shalter; his sister Elizabeth Biondo; and his nephews, Mitchell Millard, Darryl Millard and Jason Biondo.
