Evelyn Ortega Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Evelyn Ortega (Reading, Pennsylvania), who passed away on January 20, 2025 at the age of 59. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the sacred silence of farewell, Evelyn is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Evelyn's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.

She is survived by: her parents, Victor Ortega and Pura Matos Colon; her children, Carmelo Baez Jr., Carmen Baez and Marjorie Baez; and her siblings, Carmen Ortega, Victor Ortega, Angel Ortega, Marjorie Ortega and Jose Ortega.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 23rd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Henninger Funeral Home, Inc. (229 N 5th St, Reading, PA 19601).
