He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Lien, (Graves) and Emmett M. Lien, Sr.; his wife Nancy L. Lien (Stall); and his sisters, Dolores "Sissy" Noecker, Shirley Filak and Barbara "Babs" Martello.
He is survived by: his children, Lori L. Clark (Jim) of Venice, FL, Emmett M. Lien, III (Carol) of Temple, Kelly L. Shilling of Reading, Michael M. Lien (Kimberly) of Grill and Kristen A. Torchia (Andrew) of Leesport; and his grandchildren, Ryan Ott, Daniel Ott (Bella), Corinne Weg (Lenny), Courtney Good (Peter), Zachary Lien, Abbey Nyce (Jesse), Jordan Lien, Marlee Shilling (Zachary), Michael Shilling (Emily), Anthony Lien (Alexis), Adriane Shroyer (Matt) and Angelina Torchia. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
