Decon John P. Konopelski Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Decon John P. Konopelski (Reading, Pennsylvania), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 23, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Alice Marie Konopelski (Foley); his parents, Stanley Konopelski and Mary Konopelski (Pauluk); and his brothers, Stanley, Louis and Steve.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond Konopelski (Evelisse), Mary Alice Kuhns (Russell), John V. Konopelski, Lisa Konopelski (Tracy), Laura Wilson (Jeff), James Konopelski, Edward S. Konopelski, Thomas J. Konopelski and Adam J. Konopelski (Mary). He is also survived by his 15 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at the St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church (925 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19601). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, April 26th 2025 at the Gethsemane Cemetery (3139 Kutztown Rd, Reading, PA 19605).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's honor to the St. Francis Home at 144 Hillside Dr, Reading, PA 19607 or to St Margaret RCC at the address above.
