He was predeceased by: his parents, Elsie (Keller) and Charles Schittler; his children, Dale A. Schittler, David Schittler and Denise Schittler; and his siblings, Delma Schittler, Robert Schittler and Edward Stacy.

He is survived by: his daughters, Dawn M. (Larry Soltys) of Exeter, Candice D. (Michael Sallade) of Exeter and Bonita L. (George MacLean) of Delaware; and his grandchildren, Laura Roberts, Michael Sallade Jr., Eric Sallade, Danielle Kelly, Jeremy Baxter, Britney Lessig and Misty Marshall. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
