He was predeceased by: his parent Wilber A. Epler; his granddaughter Catharine E. Henry; his siblings, Richard Epler and Betty Eckenroth; and his stepfather John Wentzel.

He is survived by: his spouse Stella E. Epler (Blimline); his parent Margaret Wentzel (Anderson); his stepmother Margaret "Peg" Epler; his children, Debra A. Henry, Adamstown, Donna M. Reber, Birdsboro, Diane L. Bennethum, Shillington and Cameron R. Epler Jr.; his spouse Melissa L. (Speicher) of Brecknock Twp; and his grandchildren, James Reber, Matthew Reber, Philip Jr., Paul Bennethum, Jessica Epler and Andrew Epler. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren; and two half-brothers.
