She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Sherman and Emily Sherman; and her siblings, Sally Sherman and Donnie Sherman. She is survived by: her husband Leonard Bird III; her sons, Kevin (Melissa) of Pine Grove, PA, Todd (Casey) of Louisville, KY and Lenny (Kathy); her grandchildren, Kaylee, Ashley and Lenny; and her great grandchild Liliana (Lily). She is also survived by her siblings.
Emily was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the church at Church of Christ, 137 S. Main Ave, Scranton PA 18504.
