He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond L. "Bing" and Anne L. Simmers (Ickes); and his granddaughter Amy M. Hummer. He is survived by: his wife Florence M. Simmers (Bakner); his children, Debra S. Sentz (Fred) of Waynesboro, Bambi L. Davis (Kevin) of Mont Alto, PA, Lori J. Hummer (Rick) of Waynesboro and Thomas C. Simmers, Jr. of Waynesboro; and his sister Anne LaRue Bishop of Waynesboro. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
