He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank James and Geraldine James (Lewis); his son Adam James; his sister-in-law Nancy; and his brothers, Howard and David.
He is survived by: his wife Alice J. Wilfong; his children, Robert James, Jr. (Holly) of Reading, Lori James (James Link) of Altoona, Jeffrey James (Corinna) of Lancaster and Cheryl Abbott (James) of Altoona; his daughter-in-law Cindy James of Roaring Spring; and his siblings, Charlene Pavloc (Joe), Beverly Emig (John) of Duncansville and Donald James of Altoona. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; six great grandchildren.
