He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Claar and Mildred Claar (Hainsey); and his brothers, Fred, Donald "Frog" and Joel Claar.
He is survived by: his wife Lana Grimes; his son Rodney Claar (Wendy); his granddaughters, Amber Claar Davis (Garret) and Ronette Claar (Tristan Lingafelt); his niece Diane Clapper; and his nephews, Alan, Rocky, Brian, Eric and Wade Claar.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to the Queen United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.
