He was predeceased by: his parents, Abram W. Aukamp and Mabel Aukamp (Myers); his wife Lois Aukamp (Weitzel); his grandchildren, Greg Carnes and Gina Mohler; his son-in-law Richard Geiter; and his sister Jane Zieber.
He is survived by: his children, Vicki Geiter of Willow Street, Barbara Carnes of Lancaster and Merle "Chuck" Aukamp, Jr. (Carrie) of Millersville. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
