He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Nolt and Sadie Graybill Nolt; his grandson Justin Meyers; and his sisters, Elizabeth Buckwalter, Jean Mull and Shirley Bomberger.
He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline D. "Jackie" Rice Nolt; his children, James R. Jr. (Loretta Moyers Nolt) of York, Cynthia D. (Thomas Meyers) of Reading and Jeffrey S. Nolt of Millersville; and his brother Donald (Esther Nolt) of Lancaster.
