He was predeceased by: his wife Marian E. Weicksel (Cochran); his parents, Donald E. Weicksel and Gertrude Weicksel (Leaman); his siblings, Fred, Robert, Donald, John, James Weicksel, Emma Smith and Lucille Armstrong; and his son-in-law James Smeltz, Jr..
He is survived by: his daughters, Diane Weicksel of Reynoldsburg, OH and Susan Mull (Earl) of Quarryville; his grandchildren, Andrew Smeltz (Elisabeth Turchi) of Shippensburg and Jasmine Burrell of Columbus, OH; his great grandchildren, Alexander Smeltz, Theresa Smeltz and Miles Holtsberry; his sisters, Mary Alice Sheller of Corpus Christi, TX and Ruth Ann Rohrer of Quarryville; and his sister-in-law Brenda Wallace (Jim) of Port Deposit, MD..
