He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar J. Mitchell and Ellen Mower Mitchell; and his siblings, Harry Mitchell, Jean Dearolf and Ellen Moser.
He is survived by: his wife Yvonne Groff Mitchell; his children, Brian Mitchell of Quarryville, Stephanie (Eric Peinhardt) of New Providence and Steven Mitchell of Austin, TX; his grandson Joshua Peinhardt; and his siblings, Ginny Stoeckle and Jerry Mitchell.
