It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David S. Metzler of Quarryville, Pennsylvania, born in Holtwood, Pennsylvania, who passed away on March 17, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Isaac H. Metzler and Grace Metzler (Stauffer); his siblings, Grace and John; and his siblings-in-law, Ida, Frances, John Lapp, Haines Clements, Craig Banner and Edward Ressler.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou "Midge" Metzler (Warfel); his children, David K. Metzler (Fran), Marta Althouse (Tom Herr) and Paula Webb (Josh); his grandchildren, Morgan Metzler, Ashley Metzler, Justin Althouse (Lindsey), Kerri Hough (Bryson), Brendan Webb and Cam Webb; his great grandchild Levi Hough; his siblings, Dorothy Lapp, Mary Clements, Ruth Banner, Bertha Ressler, Isaac, Benjamin, William "Pete" and Donald; and his sister-in-law Bernice Metzler.
The family will receive friends at the church from 1-2 p.m.
