He was predeceased by: his parents, Katherine Porter Reed and Wilbur Reed. He is survived by: his wife Rita Rhoads Martinez Reed; his stepchildren, Juan Martinez (Ashlee Griggs), Carlos Martinez (Elizabeth Yohey), Jerome Martinez (Melissa Adams), Rosa Martinez and Manuel Martinez (Kaitlin Marquis); his siblings, Larry Reed (Kim) of Mason, OH and Cathy Reed Jenkins (Brad) of Steubenville, OH; and his stepsiblings, George Porter of St. Clairsville, OH, John Porter (Mary) of Punta Verde, FL, David Porter (Audra) of Hopedale, OH and Ruth George (late Don) of Wintersville, OH..
His commitment to faith was evident through his active involvement in the New Holland Spanish Mennonite Church, where his contributions to the preaching rotation were deeply valued.
