Richard C. Eggert Obituary

Richard C. Eggert of Quakertown, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2023. He was 82. He was the beloved husband of Lois M. Worthington Eggert for almost 61 years.

Richard was born on April 24, 1941 in Philadelphia to the late Edward H. and Rose Angermeier Eggert.

He attended St Bernard Elementary and Lincoln High School. Rich and Lois met as teenagers while he worked at a gas station that she walked past daily. They were inseparable from then on, and married September 29th 1962. In March of 1967, they had their 1st and only child, David. Richard went on to run a successful auto body collision shop with his son, whom he loved immensely. The shop was sold in 2001 after David's untimely death, as Rich decided to turn his focus to his family and hobbies. In David's passing, he stepped up as a father figure to his grandsons without hesitation. Rich enjoyed competing in Western dressage horse shows, with his beloved horses Chooch & Flash.

Along with his wife Lois, Richard was preceded in death by their son David Eggert. He was survived by his grandchildren, Cody Eggert and his girlfriend Stephanie Hoffmann of Quakertown, Dylan Eggert and his girlfriend Jenna Bahniuk of Quakertown; daughter-in-law, Linda Eggert and partner Jay Hardingham of Quakertown; brother, Edward Eggert and his wife Connie; sister, Rosemary Deren and her husband Joseph as well as many nieces and nephews.

Richard's family will be foregoing a funeral and will instead Celebrate his life at The Plumsteadville Inn at 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 23, 2023. Please bring your favorite memories to share.
