He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Vargo and Ruth Vargo (Clymer); his children, Raymond, Jr., Todd Vargo and Kimberly Vargo; and his siblings, Donald, David Vargo and Marlene Vargo.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Vargo (Bossert); his daughters, Susan Cramp (Thomas), Marie Hillegass (Drew) and Deborah Shearer (Chris Miller); his grandchildren, Michael (Kimberly), Rebecca (Christopher), Jeffrey (Jacklyn), Janna, Justin, Jessica (Richard), Allyse (Scott) and Jarod; and his brother Ralph Vargo (Rose). He is also survived by fourteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in Raymond's name, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
