She was predeceased by: her parents, John Penrose and Lillian Penrose (Sorver); her husband Ernest W. Hammel; and her siblings, Theodore Penrose, Jane Mease and Hester Kline.
She is survived by: her son C. Frederick Hammel (Cecilia); her grandsons, Alexander and Walter; and her great grandchildren, Ambrose, Danyka and Naomi.
