She was predeceased by: her parent Clarence Finney. She is survived by: her spouse Frank W. Brown, Sr.; her parent Alice Winifred Shelmire (Briggs); her children, Shannan Yakamavage (Jude), Dawnn White, Clarence Finney Shelmire, III and Frank W. Brown, Jr. (Vanessa); and her siblings, Sharon Fisher and Mark Shelmire.
