He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlan Floyd Spencer and Olive Spencer (Lewis); his wife Jane Ann Wehrle; and his sisters, Judith Redding and Janene Spencer.
He is survived by: his daughters, Julie Spencer-Banks (Michael) of Sharpsburg, Susan DeCourcy (Ken) of Dallas and Tricia Babco (Scott) of Punxsutawney; his grandchildren, Lauren Deourcy, Lakin DeCourcy-Robinson, Natasha Vaughn, Danielle Reitz, Meagan DeCourcy, Lucus DeCourcy, Chelsea Dallas and Parker Babco; and his brother Richard "Dick" Spencer of Punxsy. He is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
