He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Yvonne Furman (Noerr); and his parents, Benton Furman and Minnie Furman. He is survived by: his children, Benton E. Furman (Torrie) of Morehead, KY, Daniel L. Furman (Traci) of Punxsutawney and Shelli A. Furman; his grandchildren, Desiree, Austin, Bryantt Furman and Madison Hutchinson; his great grandchildren, Savannah, Journee Bentley, Braden, Heidi Furman, Sullivan, Westin, Baron Furman and Noah Hutchinson; and his brother-in-law Gary (Gloria Noerr). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
