He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl M Schaffer and Alda F. Schaffer (Marshall). He is survived by: his wife Catherine S. Lishinsky; his children, Damian V. Schaffer (Jill) of Pittsburgh, PA and Veronica S. Schaffer of Greensburg, PA; his grandchildren, Colleen Schaffer, Christopher Schaffer and Brock Schaffer; and his siblings, Norman, Leon, Robert, Fred and Judy.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fait - D'Argy Funeral Home (117 N Jefferson St, Punxsutawney, PA 15767). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church (616 W Mahoning St, Punxsutawney, PA 15767).
