It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley A. Pennington of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, born in Stuttgart, Arkansas, who passed away on November 2, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Myrtie Ellenburg (Williams) and Clarence Ellenburg; her grandson Gregory Pennington; and her siblings, Clyde Ellenburg, Laverne Hill and Dorothy Dobson.
She is survived by: her husband Johnny L. Pennington; her children, Johnny L. Pennington, Jr. (Sandy) of Hopewood, PA and Ronda R. Reed (Dennis) of Punxsutawney; her grandchildren, Christopher, Holly, John III, Haley, Brandon, Derek, Richie, Randon and Reese; her great grandchildren, Ace, Trip, Cannon, Brianna, Kobi, Kollin, Keaden, Alex, John, Aiden, Kaylnn, Ella Grace, Anson and Hudson; her brother Bill (Doris Ellenburg); and her pet Lily Lou.
