He is survived by: his wife Olive E. Shaffer (Shick); his children, Ronald C. Shaffer (Jayne) of Rossiter, Samuel M. Shaffer of Ringgold, Kathy Shaffer (David) of Ringgold and Arlene E. Gruver (Kalvin) of New Salem; his grandchild Melissa; and his brothers, Christopher Shaffer, Jenifer Wright, Kelly Nanni, Mark Shaffer, Seairra Rudolph and Kelsey Gruver.
