He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Laird Adams, Sr. and Delores Marie Adams (Bowers); his siblings, John Adams and Lela Gourley; his brother-in-law Ronnie Gourley; and his grandson Greyson Adams.
He is survived by: his wife Lois Eloide Humble; his sons, Adam Adams (Mandi Perry) of Punxsutawney and Michael Adams (Heather) of NuMine; his grandchildren, Aubrey, Reagan Adams and Abigail Perry; and his siblings, Doug Adams (Missy) of Hamilton, Sharon Eberhardt (John) of Altoona and Kris Adams of Dillsburg. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc. (115 E Union St, Punxsutawney, PA 15767). A memorial service was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made in Russ's memory to the American Cancer Society, the Heart Association or to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital.
