He is survived by: his parent Mary Ann Shaffer (Pifer); his daughters, Alice Lechner (Ellsworth), Judy McAdoo (Jerry) and Janice Hartzell; his friend Bill of Punxsutawney; his grandchildren, James McAdoo of Florida, Jackie Neufeld (Todd Neufeld) of Punxsutawney, Joey McAdoo (Deshonna) of Punxsutawney, Joyce Good (Mike) of Dayton and John Hartzell of Punxsutawney; his great grandchildren, Eden, Jordan, Logan, Jeremiah, Katelyn, Jacob, Dawson, Keegan, Julia and Abby; and his sibling Alice. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
