He was predeceased by: his parents, Goldie Helen (Kaylor) and Harold W. Smith; his brother Harold Smith; and his brothers-in-law, Bill Shields and Richard Hoch.
He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Elva Smith (Hoch); his daughter Andrea Verdill (Randall, Jr.) of Punxsutawney; his grandchildren, Kody, Alexis, Lakyn, Lane and Braxton; his great grandchildren, Zaiden, Kaysen, Chase, Rowan and Rylan; his sisters, Margaret Shields of Covode and Janet Milliron (John) of New Bethlehem; and his siblings-in-law, Martha Hoch of Punxsutawney, Millie Reitz (Don) of Punxsutawney and Tom Hoch (Sandy) of Ringgold.
