With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gilbert M. Reed of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 6, 2022 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn E. Reed and Helen V. Reed (Palmer); his wife Barb Reed; and his brothers, Carl Reed, Paul "Bud" Reed and Mervin Reed.
He is survived by: his former wife Barbara Whitesell; his siblings, Bill Reed of Ohio, Delores Burkett of Punxsutawney and Helen Hazlett of Ohio; his children, Dennis (Ronda Reed) of Punxsutawney, Cheyenne (Nina Reed) of Punxsutawney, Robin Reed Poling (John) of Punxsutawney and Dean Reed of Punxsutawney; his grandchildren, Brandon Patrick (Laura), Derek Reed (Amanda), Cheyenne Reed Jr. (Jeongmi), Heath Reed, Logan Reed (Rachel), John Poling III, Angel Poling-Soto (Jose') and Dirk Poling; and his great grandchildren, Ace Patrick, Trip Patrick, Cannon Patrick, Ella Grace Cagle, Anson Cagle, Hudson Reed, Kyle Poling and Rhea Soto-Poling.
Due to COVID, there will be no visitation, but the family is planning a celebration of Gilbert's life at the family farm this summer.
