The memory of Dorothy Wanda Shields of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 28, 2024 at the age of 77, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Pifer and Elva Pifer (Rhoads); her husband Grant Oliver Shields; and her siblings, Emma Umbaugh, Leora Mae Smith and Glenn Pifer.
She is survived by: her niece Patty (Jerry); her stepchildren, Grant Shields, Jr. (Jill) of Baltimore, David "Duck" Shields (Royale) of Home, PA and Michelle Ruggles (Andrew) of Virginia; and her brother-in-law Robert Charles "Midnight" Smith. She is also survived by numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
