It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Delbert P. Reitz of Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania, born in Coolspring, Pennsylvania, who passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Sarah Jane (Lewis) and Carlton E. Reitz; and his siblings, Daniel Q. Reitz, Hazel Wesnitzer, Seiler Reitz, Luetta Curtis, Jean Douthit and Joann White.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley J. Reitz (Lydick); his sons, Bill Reitz (Alyson) of Glen Campbell and Dan Reitz (Kelly) of Punxsutawney; his grandchildren, Renee Albert (Jamie), Danielle Lundy (Jay) and Josh Reitz; his great grandchildren, Dan Albert (Breanna), Hunter Albert, Patrick and Hazel Lundy; and his brother Willard Reitz of Pittsburgh.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Mr. Reitz, to the Punxsutawney Groundhog Little League, 508 West Mahoning Street, Punxsutawney, PA 15767, or to the First English Lutheran Church of Punxsutawney, 104 North Gilpin Street, Punxsutawney, PA 15767.
