She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Geist and Geraldine Geist (Klingensmith); her fiancé George Long; and her siblings, Donald, Clifford Geist, Betty "Jean" Wells and Barbara "Joyce" Beitz.
She is survived by: her sons, Carl Gotwald, Jr. (Michele) and Eric Gotwald (Angela); her grandchildren, Tyler, Kyle, Cheyenne, Logan and Sara; and her sister Audrey Beatty. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in her memory to the Punxsutawney Memorial Library or the American Cancer Society.
