He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Davis Sherman and Rita Gerstner Sherman of Butler; and his siblings, Marjorie, Mary and Steven.
He is survived by: his wife Donna Sedwick Sherman; his children, Marjorie Sherman Midlothian (Richard Popio), Patricia Presloid (John), David B. Sherman (Lori) and John F. Sherman (Kristen); his grandchildren, Allison, Mia Sherman, Ethan, Chloe, Evan Presloid, Elise, Isabelle and David P. Sherman; and his siblings, James, Thomas and Ellen of Butler.
