With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Thelma Carolyn Mankey of Prosperity, Pennsylvania, born in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania, who passed away on April 5, 2023 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Blair and Gertrude Jane Cox Lahew. She is survived by: her husband Larry Earl Mankey; her children, Shelly Ann Mankey of Waynesburg and Larry Leigh Mankey; her close friend Tammy Gesford of Shickshinny; her grandchildren, Jacob and Amber Mankey; her great grandchild Ava Harris; and her siblings, Connie Loughman of Sycamore, Pam Clark (Bristoria) of Holbrook, Stanley "Peeper" Lahew of Cameron, W. Va, Joann Medlick and Jack Lahew.
She was an excellent quilter, making all of her quilts by hand and would occasionally donate a quilt for fundraising.
