It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell L Cowden Sr. of Prosperity, Pennsylvania, who passed away on May 11, 2022, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lawrence Cowden and Alice Thelma Rumbaugh Cowden; his wife Phyllis A. Gray; and his daughter Robin Cowden. He is survived by: his children, Rev. Russell L. Cowden, Jr. (Carolyn Griffith) of Poland, Susan Dunn (Greg) of Prosperity, Gary M. Cowden (Jane) of Hickory and Bruce E. Cowden (Sandy) of Prosperity; his grandchild Russell L. Cowden III (Tamara); his great grandchildren, Riley, Erin Dunn, Emmett, Graham Dunn, Evelyn, Jeremiah, Brynn Cowden, Violet, Jack Lenz, Porter Gray, Madison, Carter and Reagan Law; his daughter Ruth; and his siblings, Ila Snyder, Alvin Cowden, Joseph L. Cowden, Jr., William Cowden, Lois King, Belva White, Evelyn Athey and Nancy Schmidt.
