He was predeceased by: his parents, James M. Ramey and Madeline Miller Ramey. He is survived by: his wife Linda Cole; his sons, James W. Ramey II (Barbara) of Washington and Steven S. Ramey (Lisa) of Washington; his son-in-law Greg Robinson of North Potomac, MD; his daughter Linda Sharpe (David) of Jacksonville, NC; his grandchildren, James W. Ramey III, Zachary M. E. Ramey, Eric Capenos, Nick Capenos, S. "Caleb" Ramey, Jacob S. Ramey, Seth D. Ramey, Daniel L. Ramey, Greg D. Robinson, Jeremy C. Robinson, Travis D. Sharpe, Dylan M. Sharpe and Joshua T. Sharpe; and his great grandchildren, Julian Brindle, Haley, Jackson Ramey, Lillee Capenos, Lillian and Hanna Ramey. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Piatt-Barnhill Funeral Home (420 Locust Ave, Washington, PA 15301). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Hermon Baptist Church (200 Banetown Rd, Amity, PA 15311).
The family suggests memorial contributions be directed to either Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, at the address above, or the Claysville Christian Church, 128 Church Street, Claysville, PA 15323.
