He was predeceased by: his parents, Lemon "Slim" Powell and Agnes Elliott Powell. He is survived by: his close friend Patricia Adams; and his siblings, Karen Farabee (Kenneth), Melody Wilson, Orville and Harry Powell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
